Dan is one of the leading experts and premier trainers on kids, staff and the experience of summer camp. He has been involved with camps and youth development for over twenty years as a camper, counselor and director. He is currently the Director of Camp Daybreak, a residential camp program that serves campers with a range of social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs while training more than 100 international staff who identify as future social workers, educators and clinicians. Dan is also an award winning advocate for mental health on the state and national level, working with government officials to change the landscape of health care to best serve those in recovery from addiction and mental health conditions. His accessibility, effective communication and rapport in one on one settings and with larger audiences has enabled him to bring joy and real change to his campers, staff and the community at large.
