Recovery Support Services
Treatment is the first stop for many people on their recovery journey. It is essential that strong recovery support services are available for treatment programs to be most effective. Having strong recovery support services empowers individuals to take charge of their recovery.
At the Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery, we ensure that broad and robust recovery supports are available to all Vermonters. We actively participate in community partnerships and collaborations throughout the state working to improve prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery services.
Good Investments in Vermont:
Many of our efforts are directed at supporting Vermont’s network of recovery centers. Recovery centers are consumer driven, non-residential facilities which provide peer supports, sober recreation activities, volunteer opportunities, community education and recovery support services. Our work supports recovery centers and their services through our Recovery Coach Training and other professional development trainings, legislative advocacy and our mindfulness programming.
